About Me

I am YM Raja, a music educator with over 50 years of experience as a teacher, headmaster, music lecturer, and District Education Supervisor in Sabah. I pioneered Bermain Angklung Cara Pak Radja, an original angklung playing system widely practised throughout Malaysia and incorporated into the national music education curriculum. To date, I have authored and published 25 music books featuring musical scores and trained hundreds of thousands of students. Although I retired from government service in 2011, I remain actively involved in Angklung and the wider music industry, continuing my lifelong commitment to music education and the development of future generations of musicians.
